Privacy Officer (person responsible for the protection of personal information)

Gestion IFY is responsible for the personal information it holds. The role of person in charge of the protection of personal information is held by the management of Gestion IFY. For any question about this policy, your information, or to exercise your rights: location@ify.immo or 514 424-2288.

Information we collect

• Rental application: identity and contact details, information about your housing, employment and income situation, references, identity documents and signature — only what is needed to review your application.
• Visit booking and contact form: name, contact details and the information you provide to arrange a visit or respond to your inquiry.

Use and disclosure

• To review your rental application and communicate with you.
• With your explicit consent, to perform pre-rental screening: credit and reference checks with personal information agents (notably CORPIQ), financial institutions, employers and current or previous landlords.
• Your information is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Retention and security

• Information submitted through the form is transmitted encrypted (HTTPS) directly to our team; the website does not store your file.
• The form draft is saved only on your own device, and you can erase it at any time.
• We keep information for as long as needed to review your application and meet our legal obligations, then destroy it securely.

Cookies and third-party services

• The site uses no advertising trackers and no analytics tools.
• Visit booking is powered by Microsoft Bookings (Microsoft 365); the information you enter there is processed by Microsoft under its terms and privacy policy.

Communication outside Québec

• Some of our service providers — notably the visit-booking platform (Microsoft Bookings / Microsoft 365) and our email services — may host or process information outside Québec, including in data centres located outside Canada. Information transmitted to them may therefore be stored outside Québec.
• We limit these transmissions to the information necessary for the service concerned.

Your rights

• You may request access to the information we hold about you, its correction, or the withdrawal of your consent by writing to location@ify.immo.
• For computerized personal information you have provided to us, you may also request a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format (right to data portability).
• We respond to any written request within 30 days, after verifying your identity.
• If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
